All events start and finish at the Hub, Hadleigh Country Park, unless otherwise stated.
We have a 72 hour cancellation policy, so we cannot refund or reschedule within this time. We are happy to refund outside this time. We ride through all weathers too.
Lose the Stabilisers
All day Saturday and Sundays and sessions during school holidays.
Cost: £18 for a 1:1, half-hour session. Must be booked!
One to one, half-hour sessions to teach your child to ride without stabilisers. Led by our experienced coaches to a tried and tested method, your child will have a relaxed and happy session getting to grips with cycling on just two wheels! Lose the stabilisers runs all day Saturday and Sunday.
Your child will need a bike, bike helmet and be wearing clothes suitable for riding. At the start of the first session the coach will carry out a check of the child’s bike to ensure it is in a suitable working condition. If you do not have a suitable bike you can hire one for the session for an additional £5.
The sessions are suitable for children up to age 12. If your child is older than this, please contact us to discuss your requirements.
Saturday mornings: Half hour bookings from 9.30. Last booking 12:30
Saturday afternoons: Half hour bookings from 1.30 pm. Last booking 3.30
Sunday mornings: Half hour bookings from 9.30 pm. Last booking 12.30.
Sunday afternoons: Half hour bookings from 1:30 pm. Last booking 3.30
Children may take 2 or 3 sessions to learn to ride, sometimes more. We cannot guarantee the same coach will be available for all sessions booked.
Women's Cycling...Wowie!
We have helped start a new women's cycle club called Women on Wheels in Essex (Wowie). It is free to join and you will be able to rent bikes at a very special rate, or even for free. It is on every Saturday 12.30 till 2.30pm. The club is aimed at new cyclists, and those gaining experience. You will be welcomed no matter your skill or fitness levels. Just turn up, no need to book. Ride On! - Next Course tbc
A short course (3 weeks) of 1 hour a week lessons aimed at children who have just learnt to ride. In small groups (max 6) your child will gain skills such as riding one-handed; controlled braking on slopes and cycling on different types of terrain. £35. Weekends.
Very suitable for children who have learnt to ride at our Lose the Stabiliser sessions but this is not compulsory. Your child does have to be able to mount/dismount and ride unaided.
Your child will need a bike and helmet. A limited stock is available to rent for the course so call if you need to hire. £10 for a bike per session.
We ride through all weathers and our usual 72 hours cancellation/reschedule policy is in force for the first session. No refunds available for later missed sessions.
Balance Biking!
A short course to introduce your child to balance biking. Three, 50 minute sessions on consecutive days. Next date tbc but likely to be in 2024. £35 for all three sessions, includes use of our Frog balance bikes and a bike helmet. Small group sessions (maximum 6). Recommended age 3 - 4 years.
Bespoke Coaching
Bookable sessions usually on Sundays but some twilight/after school sessions can be made available. £40 for 1 hour, 1:1 sessions which are adapted to your requirements. This can be learning to ride (children or adult); confidence/skills building on your bike or learning/improving your mountain biking skills. Session times vary. Hadleigh History Hop (including pub lunch)
A guided ride for groups (up to 10) using the Green trail and surrounding area. Duration 3 hours, distance approximately 11 km. Cycle and talk on the events and people at Hadleigh Park, from Viking days to WW2. £29 with own bike, £39 including bike hire and £49 including Ebike hire. Includes a pub lunch; vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options. Family/Friends group discounts. Group gift vouchers available - call on 01702 875431 for details.
